Singleton Open Air Museum 4th & 5th October 2014

The club has been exhibiting at this show for a number of years. I arrived about 1pm and a few members had just arrived before me but I was soon set up and put the kettle on, then we set up the pen for the engines. The weather stayed dry Friday pm and after dinner a few of us found the local pub and had a few drinks. Saturday was a good day and the day members turned up which meant we had a good display. The show hosts a number of tractors ploughing in the next field, in the other field were a lot of stalls selling their wares.

In the arena there were a good number of events and then around a good display of wood crafts of all types, also a traction engine driving a threshing display. On Saturday evening a few more of us found the pub again and had a good meal and a few more pints. On Sunday a few more members came and the public poured in but as the day wore on, the weather turned with rain and we packed up a bit early and then had a wet drive home. Hopefully we will get two fine days one year but still a good show.
