Oare Rally, Marlborough, Wiltshire 10th June 2018

By Ian Sampson

This show has been held for a lot of years. Having not been for a few years I entered for one day this year. We left around 6am and made good headway, stopped up the A34 for a comfort stop and arrived on site 8.20’ish to met up with Graham the marshal for the engines. We unloaded our engines, I took my Austin and Philip his Fowler. A good display of different engines and a good selection of lighting sets. 2 Pelapone’s, a nice Stuart twin set, a Lister set, my Austin plus a few more. The Barnes boys were there with their big engines all the way from Dorset.

It’s a good show with lots of vehicles of all sorts and trade stalls with a few steamers etc. we left the show at 5.30 and got home a couple of hours later.
